Preserve History

Everything old is not necessarily good and everything new is not necessarily bad.

The objective of Neighborhood Planning is not to restrict growth or clone old buildings.  Rather, it is to ensure that new development "fits in" and does not overwhelm a community.  New development should harmonize, compliment, reinforce, and maintain our existing historic scale and character -- not change it.  We like Gig Harbor.

It's why people who live here - stay,  people who leave - come back,  and people who visit - return.
